JULY 2022 GIVEAWAY DETAILS

This month's prize: Redout Steam Key x5

To celebrate the recent launch of the game Redout II, this month's giveaway gives you the chance to be 1 or 5 winners of the original game that started this series. Since this is a racing game, we decided that this month's entry should be focused on remembering our favorite racing games. Leave a comment on this post about your favorite racing game. Tell us which game it is, what you liked about it, and why it's your favorite racing game of all time. It can be an old game or a new game. It can be any type of racing in any vehicle. It just has to be a game focused on racing as the main mechanism of gameplay. Only one entry per a user but feel free to discuss games with others in the comments.

5 random users from the comments section will be selected as our winners for this month. You will be awarded one Steam key for the racing game Redout courtesy of 34BigThings.

When it comes to my favorite fast racing game that would be F-Zero GX for the Nintendo GameCube not only is one of the few games that gives a story to the forgotten series of Captain Falcon but is the only game that had one of the best mechanics since Star Wars Episode I: Racer, that lets you customize your own car from parts, boosters, colors and even put custom stickers on it. The thing that I liked about F-zero is mainly the story and the challenges that were definetly not nintendo friendly lol, I mean, the enemies were reckless and the races felt like Rainbow Road on LSD. The characters, soundtrack and cinematics on that game are goated. Even speedrunners got the game into AGDQ (A charity event done every year or so), when I saw that game I was expecting normal gameplay but faster... NO! those guys took it to the next level with secret techs/bugs/glitches and custom cars that looked like garbage (but were top speed) and that just blew my mind to see the game have so much more than I remember when I was younger. If i was going at 1000 mph, those guys were doing 5999 mph and beating every map in a flash.

If you haven't played it I would recommend you do, since Redout reminds me so much of F-Zero GX.

My favorite racing game of all time is a toss-up between Extreme G or Hydro Thunder on the N64 or arcade consoles. The upgraded Mario Kart-level of shenanigans and transforming boat into a rocket ship was an amazing visual wow factor to my younger self.

Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 will always be my all-time favorite racing game. I remember when I was so addicted playing this game on my GeForce FX5500 to retrieve the BMW M3 GTR from the #1 Most Wanted Racer - Razor. I really love the story of the game and I hope thered be more racing games like this.

Recently I played GRID 2 using the controller and it was fun. I'm consider saving to get the racing wheel.

David ,06 Jul, 2022

My favorite racing game was Burnout Paradise:The Ultimate Box. I played it for 300.9 hours. The ingame soundtrack was great. It had a very polished open world nonlinear sandbox feel to it, with plenty of enjoyable singleplayer challenges to complete. The multiplayer for it was pretty good too. I guess the version I played isn't available on steam anymore, but it was very fun when I played it.

Isaac ,19 Jul, 2022

I've been really enjoying Forza Horizon, but when i was much younger (starting in the world of gaming) i had a disk with the text "Burn for Speed". So yeah my favorite racing game was Need for Speed: Nitro, it was one of my first games and a very enjoyable one.
